Our mission
To bring children’s event ideas to life through joyful, active and memorable experiences shaped around every client’s needs.
A lively children’s events brand shaped by play, memorable experiences and the belief that imagination belongs everywhere.
Bakiddies brings together children’s events, inflatables and experiences for families, schools and communities. Since 2013, the focus has been simple: listen to each client’s ideas, create active fun and leave people with memories worth keeping.
Beatrice M is the owner-manager of Bakiddies and the author behind Beatrice M Books. Her stories explore real themes such as climate change, recycling, literacy and a love of animals—adding an educational, imaginative dimension to the Bakiddies family.

The Day It Stopped Raining was inspired by South Africa’s water shortages. Tumi’s Big Community Clean Up grew from questions about litter and recycling. The colouring range was inspired by a family love of animals.

As the only girl among four boys who often wanted television or gaming, Beatrice wanted to create something different to do together.
Dropping water levels and water-use restrictions in South Africa led to months of research and inspired The Day It Stopped Raining.
Questions from her children about small dumping sites, together with seeing school desks made from upcycled yoghurt tubs, inspired Tumi’s Big Community Clean Up.
Her mother and aunts filled childhood with storytelling—often making the stories up as they went.
